GIDA at Mining Indonesia 2026: Lighting for Mining Operations

Sep. 13, 2026

Illuminating Mines. Connecting Globally.

9–12 September 2026   /   Jakarta, Indonesia

From 9 to 12 September, Mining Indonesia 2026 took place in Jakarta. GIDA brought its solar-powered mobile lighting tower range to the exhibition and engaged in in-depth conversations with mining companies, engineering contractors, equipment distributors and industry partners.

From night-time lighting in mines to the application of new-energy equipment, our on-site demonstrations and face-to-face discussions presented the capabilities of our products while helping us understand the practical needs of the local market.

01 / Mining Applications

Starting with the needs of the mine site

Mining operations can cover large areas and involve complex power-supply conditions. Equipment often needs to be moved between work areas. High temperatures, heavy dust and continuous operations also place greater demands on lighting equipment.

Night-time construction, road lighting and equipment maintenance

Temporary work areas and security monitoring are also important lighting applications. With these scenarios in mind, GIDA presented solar mobile lighting towers and hybrid new-energy lighting solutions that combine solar power, energy storage and intelligent control technology, offering flexible lighting options for mine sites.

By matching the solution to the operating conditions and electricity requirements, the aim is to reduce the diesel consumption and routine maintenance burden associated with conventional equipment and bring new-energy lighting closer to the day-to-day needs of mining operations.

02 / Product Spotlight

A closer look at the GIDA Light Tower 7H

During the exhibition, products including the GIDA Light Tower 7H attracted enquiries from professional customers. Through live demonstrations and technical explanations, the GIDA team made the equipment's structure and operation easier to understand.

From deployment to lighting control

The team introduced the practical use of the equipment step by step: deploying the solar panels, the mobile trailer structure, raising and lowering the mast, LED lighting, the energy-storage system and intelligent control options.

Visitors working in nickel mining, gold mining, coal mining and engineering equipment paid particular attention to deployment capability, operating costs and new-energy applications.

03 / Customer Conversations

Bringing customers' questions into the solution

Taking part in Mining Indonesia was also an opportunity for GIDA to develop a deeper understanding of Indonesia's mining market. At the exhibition, we spoke with customers from key mining regions including Sulawesi, Maluku Utara and Kalimantan.

Conversations moved from initial enquiries to technical discussions, with the focus on how the equipment would be used in actual operating conditions.

Product brochures supported detailed conversations about customer requirements.

Four practical questions customers raised

  1. Can the equipment operate in the high-dust conditions found at mine sites?
  2. How can lighting be maintained through consecutive cloudy or rainy days?
  3. How much operating cost can be saved compared with a conventional diesel lighting tower?
  4. If a problem occurs, can technical support be obtained locally in Indonesia?

These questions extended the discussion beyond equipment specifications to long-term use. Guided by customer feedback, GIDA continues to improve its products, technology, application solutions and local after-sales service.

04 / Local Support

Rooted in Indonesia, with service closer to the site

Entering a market requires stable local service capability over the long term. GIDA is building a local display and service system in Indonesia, supporting customers from learning about the products through to using the equipment.

The exhibition brought product demonstrations, practical site requirements and customer feedback together. These exchanges help us continue developing lighting solutions and service support that are relevant to Indonesia's mining operations.
